Portfolio: Carolyn’s Wedding Dress

The Idea and Inspiration:

Carolyn contacted me wanting a modern strapless wedding dress with a strong art deco influence.  She had a clear idea of what she wanted, and provided a detailed design sketch and some inspiration images.  From these we worked together to create the perfect strapless, sweetheart necklined, slim mermaid style dress with an ostrich feather trimmed train, lots of curved construction lines, and lots and lots of sparkles.

Fabric and Materials:

Silk-cotton with a delustred satin finish fully backed in cotton, and trimmed with metal and gel sequins, seed pearls, ostrich feathers, and a vintage belt buckle
