Winter is here, and it’s getting cold.
Felicity has a cunning cold-fighting trick for chill but sunny days. She sleeps on the couch in the sun, tummy up to give it full exposure, but the sun doesn’t keep her nose warm, and it goes all damp and white, so she puts a paw up to protect it.
Keep that little pink nose covered Fiss!
I have a Very Fluffy Cat like Felicity, but mine is named Millie and she is only gray and white. She practices the same sweet little trick. Sometimes she tries to pull her tail around to cover her nose too, but unfortunately Millie has a very stumpy tail.
Our cats have been black for generations now; that makes enjoying the sun so much easier, especially seeing as the noses are black, too…
Fiss is cute like this. 🙂
If you want to find the warm spots in your house – watch the cats!
Our cats do the nose-paw-drape too! Or they curl up so tight that their nose is buried in their warm fluffy tummy; or wrap their tail over the top of their head (occasionally sneezing when their tail gets up their nose).
That’s so cute. I don’t remember my childhood cat ever doing that.
I’d say you should sew her a little feline nose warmer, but I don’t think a cat would tolerate that for very long!
Our cats bury their noses in each other’s fur – I’m the one who drapes a paw over her nose. Apparently it looks a little silly when humans do it…
I dislike cats, but these pics got a teensy tiny nawww!
Aww, bless her! Our cats do the same; it is so so cute!! It’s like they’re saying: I want the sun, but not the sunburn!
