Felicity: 1 April 2007-1 Nov 2024

Goodbye my darling, darling girl, beloved companion of 17 years and 6 months.  The best cat I could ever ask for.

Your name means joy, because that’s what you brought me, and so many other people, for all your life.

Felicity went downhill very fast.  According to the vets everything was failing except her heart.  That was a strong as ever.

So typical of Felicity.  All heart and brains.  Even near the end, when she didn’t want even her favourite treats and could barely walk, she was trying to drag herself to me because I was crying, and it was her job to comfort me when I was upset.

Felicity will keep appearing in posts, because I’ve got such a backlog of photos.

Enjoy a little tour through her life, from tiny kitten, to naughty teenager, to maximum floofage, to little old lady.

I am so sorry for you and for your beautiful Felicity. She did bring joy to so many, me included, and she will be very much missed. I will hold you both in my thoughts. x

  2. Sorry indeed to hear that dear Felicity is gone (but certainly not forgotten). I will be thinking of both of you.

The post I’d hoped never to see. I’m terribly sorry to hear. Miss Fliss is welcome round Rat Heaven for gentle chases anytime.

    • Oh. I am so awfully said to hear that Felicity is no longer with us. Her paw on your shoulder as she cozied herself on the sofa while you were working on your computer is all-telling of your long and loving years together.

I am wishing you comfort and support as you mourn, and us too, who every time were glad to hear and see of her escapades and her sewing help.

      A big hug,
      Natalie

I am so sorry for the loss of Felicity. I loved seeing her in your pictures. She was a beautiful kitty who lived a cherished life.

Oh my gosh! Miss Fliss was such a treasure! I have enjoyed seeing her helping and supervising. I have had two cats who have similarly enjoyed being right in the energy stream, right on the pattern or in the sewing machine’s path. I’m so glad you had each other. My condolences.

  6. I’m so, so sorry xx. Felicity always seemed to be such a wee loving ratbag, and she obviously loved you very much ❤️❤️❤️

My thoughts and prayers are for you. I just lost my cat of 15 years this summer and I know how hard this is. Thank you for these pictures. She is such a beautiful girl.

God bless you my dear. You made Felicity’s time here so very happy. She’s watching you sew now; whenever your fabric slides out of the machine or falls to the floor, it’s Felicity saying she’s always there in your heart and she’s waiting for you.

I’m sorry to read of your beloved ….as Maude (form “Harold and Maude”) says in her final moments…”Go out and love some more”… may her memory always bring Joy!

So strange: I had not read your blog in awhile due to a lot of life changes, and just this evening, I thought, “I wonder how Felicity is doing?” I’m so very sorry. I lost my senior dog a few months ago–it’s so heartbreaking. What a wonderful life Felicity had with you, and how she delighted so many of your readers with her sweet antics and devotion. From halfway around the world (Texas)–thinking of you and remembering a truly delightful cat companion.
