After 13 amazing days touring the South Island of NZ, living out of a car and sleeping in tents and backpackers and wearing the same clothes over and over, it’s lovely to be back in civilisation, enjoying clothes and beds and technology.
And sewing! I’m so excited about being back at my machine (though I did do hand sewing on the trip), and can’t wait to show you all the projects I’m working on.
I want to show you photographs too…but… my memory card failed. And I have to take it to a computer shop and hope they can be recovered.
Grrr….bummer!

Hasn’t your memory card reader failed actually? That’s what has just happened to me. Unplugging it and then plugging it back into the computer helped.
Nope, it’s the memory card – the reader works fine. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to recover the photos – it will just cost me though 🙁
Welcome back! 🙂 I cheated and took my sewing machine on holiday. A gazebo in front of a caravan can make a very pleasant sewing environment we found! heheh. No photo evidence though. I hope you get your photos back xo
You crazy woman! We definitely had no room in the car for a sewing machine, and usually no electricity either!
Hand sewing is far more practical, I agree. Did quite a bit of that too. In fact I treated the whole thing like a really long retreat, only with cooking and children to mind! 🙂
