I second that. Her shoes are gorgeous, aren’t they?
Coming out next year, not sure when but maybe around April. Calling them the “Pompadours.” 🙂 I can’t resist them either, plus this style covers quite a range, from the 17th c. into the mid 18th c.
Yes please on the coming out! I object to the name though. Pompadours should be mules. She wears mules in every single portrait where her shoes are visible! She is the woman who made mules sexy! You can’t call a closed shoe the Pompadour!
Ninon’s shoes!!!!…even if they are a century later heheh.
Exactly!
I need to learn to make shoes.
Tell me about it! Or I just need the time to alter the ones I have already to be more historical!
Hey!
I’ve so enjoyed reading your blog over the past few months. I’m so inspired by your period correct sewing. 🙂
I thought you might be interested in this giveaway.

I blogged about it yesterday 😉
I saw the first few words in the title and just about died myself! Those are neat shoes, though. I love gold colored fabric!
